What is a B Corp?

B Corp certification recognises companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency - balancing profit with purpose, and people with planet.

For us, it reflects how we already work, while giving us a clear framework to keep improving.

Our impact, measured.

Our assessment scores, which also cover our brands Rab and Lowe Alpine, give a clear picture of where we’re making progress - and where we need to do more. Because meaningful change starts with understanding, honest and action.

The B Impact Assessment looks beyond intentions, focusing on how responsibility is embedded into everyday decision‑making. Below is how each impact area relates directly to our operations and way of working.

  • The Governance section assesses how a company manages itself responsibly, transparently and with long‑term accountability.

    For us, this reflects:

    • Clear governance structures and oversight at Group level

    • Integration of social and environmental considerations into decision‑making

    • Ethical business conduct, compliance and risk management processes

    • Transparent reporting through our annual Impact Report

B Corp certification also requires a legal commitment to consider the impact of decisions on all stakeholders — reinforcing long‑term, responsible leadership.

  • This area focuses on employee wellbeing, engagement, inclusion and development.

    Our assessment covered:

    • Fair pay practices, benefits and flexibility

    • Employee engagement and feedback mechanisms

    • Health, safety and wellbeing initiatives

    • Training, development and progression opportunities

    • Work towards inclusive and supportive workplace culture

People are central to our success, and the assessment helps ensure we’re building systems that support them consistently across the business.

  • The Community impact area looks at how a business supports wider communities — particularly through its supply chain.

    For us, this connects to:

    • Long‑standing commitments to fair working conditions in manufacturing

    • Responsible supplier engagement and due diligence

    • Progress as a Fair Wear Leader Brand

    • Local community involvement and charitable partnerships

The assessment recognises the influence we have beyond our own operations — and the responsibility that comes with it.

  • The Environment section is one of the most detailed parts of the assessment, evaluating how companies manage and reduce environmental impact.

    Our assessment considered:

    • Environmental management and reporting

    • Greenhouse gas measurement and reduction efforts

    • Responsible material sourcing and product design

    • Waste reduction and packaging initiatives

    • Environmental considerations within our supply chain

Rather than single claims, B Corp looks at systems, targets and continuous improvement — helping us identify where we’re making progress, and where further action is needed.

  • This section assesses whether a company’s products or services create clear value for customers and society.

    For us, this reflects:

    • Designing durable, functional outdoor equipment built to be used and trusted

    • Providing accurate, transparent product information

    • Developing services and ownership models that support longevity and responsible use

    • Maintaining ethical marketing and communications practices

The focus is on ensuring that impact is built into what we deliver — not just how we operate behind the scenes.

For us, B Corp isn’t a badge or a finish line. We continue to work hard to increase our positive impact in everything we do, every day. Completing the assessment process enables us to continually measure our impact and identify areas for improvement, providing a stronger framework for our continued growth.

Together with the B Corp community, we’re redefining what responsible business looks like. Collaboration over competition. Long-term impact over short-term gains. And proving that businesses can be a powerful force for good.

Proud to be a B Corp™

This certification formalises what has always guided us.

Becoming a B Corp doesn’t change who we are - it confirms it.
